About MeSign taken from Castle Street toilets before their closure in 1985. It reads "A.C.C.D. EMPLOYEES ONLY" ie. Aberdeen Corporation Cleansing Department (sign dates pre-regionalisation of 1977). The sign was on the "Bucky" door, the room set aside for the attendant. This in the male toilet was a squalid damp place a consequence of it being below ground level and inadequate heating.
