About MeA Manx coin which has an interesting connection with Scotland is this copper penny. In 1736 ownership of the Isle of Man was inherited by James Murray, Second Duke of Atholl.

A simple but pleasing design of a ducal coronet above a monogram of the letters DA adorns the obverse while the reverse shows the triune, the 'Legs of Man' symbol.

Mementos of the Atholl connection with the Isle of Man, including a selection of coins, may be seen at Blair Castle near Blair Atholl, Perthshire.
