About MeThe hand-painted decoration of this vase is quite unusual. Its loose uncluttered free style is rather more like decoration found on Korean or Japanese ceramics rather than the usually busy pieces produced by China in later periods. The horse represents speed and perseverance in East Asian art.James Cromar Watt
