About MeFamille rose (which means ‘pink family’ in French) developed around the end of the Kangxi period. Famille rose wares are mostly composed of opaque white and pink enamels derived from colloidal gold.

This plate is decorated with Chinese characters and a water scene with two birds and water lilies in the famille rose palette.

There are four iron red flowers on the base.

The decoration consists of polychrome enamels over a pearl blue glaze.
