About MeAt time of photograph was taking the Glenlivet Bar was run by one James Weir. The licensee was born at Insch, was a mason to trade which he worked at for some time in Amererica. He returned to Aberdeen and set up in a grocery business at 78 Leadside Road. Later he managed the business of Messrs Davidson & Co, grocers of Broad Street, Aberdeen (these premises eventually disappeared in the university extensions). About 1896 James Weir acquired the license for the Glenlivet Bar. He died on the 11th april 1902, aged 49.
