He is wearing a jacket with a handkerchief in his left breast pocket and a flower in his buttonhole on the same side. His shirt is white and necktie is plain. There is a number written in pencil on the reverse side: 'PH3924.' The photographer's details appear in full on the reverse side, c. 1880s.
