About MeJohn Duncan, like Robert Brough, worked in Brittany in the 1890s and was influenced by the art of the Synthesists. On his return to Scotland he contributed to that celebration of Celtic culture, Patrick Geddes' Evergreen. Duncan was himself closely involved with the Celtic Revival in Scotland, many of his paintings being inspired by Celtic legend and mythology.More About Me
An interesting mixture of Celtic symbolism and art deco style.
