About MeCream and black enamelled work top range with two burners.

The front of the range has two plastic knobs for controlling the burners and is painted with the "MAIN" logo and "No 72" on the front. The hob has two black removable pan supports (one is broken) and the gas burner heads (each consisting of a metal ring and a black head) are removable. The base of the body has a tray which slides forwards (and should probably slide out but does not at present).

The gas inlet is from the back and a section of pipe is still present.

This type of range could sit on the kitchen work top or be placed on the older solid fuel range originally found in tenements. Very often this type of cooker was the transition between large cast iron range and a full gas cooker with oven.
