About MeTwo flower scenes worked mainly in long-and-short stitch, straight stitch and French knots. The scenes are given further realism by painting background colours behind the needlework.
Miss Simpson, who came from Elgin, was an avid sewer. In addition to these embroidered pictures our collection includes numerous tapestries depicting religious themes.
