About MeThis pearlised headdress was worn to match a full-length, gold lurex wedding dress also in the collection. A short, plain veil flowed from the back of the headdress.
By the end of the 1950s, many brides began to wear Juliet caps and fabric flower headdresses instead of the tiara style or waxed orange blossom headdresses, which had been so popular. This cap was worn with a veil by the donor at her wedding in Dun Parish Church, Montrose in 1959.
