About MeMade and sold by Pronuptia on Holburn Street, this ivory wedding dress and floral headdress were worn by an Aberdeen bride at St Machar's Scottish Episcopal Church, Bucksburn, in 1986. A single bridesmaid wore a long pale apricot taffeta dress.

During the 1980s, bridal fashion drew on a variety of historical styles to recreate the white wedding dress. The most popular styles were romantic and feminine. This textured silk dress features typical large, puffed sleeves, ribbons and lace, and an altogether grander silhouette. The shades of ivory and cream are reminiscent of the Victorian wedding fashions of the previous century, although the strapless bodice and off-the-shoulder sleeves are a completely contemporary addition.
