About MeThe Mary Laurence Taylor medal was first presented in 1953 and continued as an annual award at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. It was awarded to the nurse who obtained the highest marks for efficiency in general nursing in the third year of her training. The monies for the award were from Miss Georgina Taylor, who trained at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary between 1905 and 1908.
