About MeDuring an excavation at the St Nicholas Triangle area of Aberdeen, a large 19th-century stone and brick drain was excavated. This is a metal button which had been dropped down the drain during its use.
The copper alloy button is decorated with a pearl and is not a common find.
Other finds from the drain included dozens of wooden matches, fragments of glass bottles and other vessel glass, ceramics, iron knives, copper alloy and bone spoons, bone spatulas and a bone and bristle toothbrush.
