About MeThis print is very typical of Ben Nicholson's interest in drawing and is a view of the rooftops, viewed from indoors, of St Ives in Cornwall. Nicholson moved away from Cornwall in 1958 but used St Ives in later work, including this view from his house Trezion.

He enlisted the help of an artist-printmaker in Switzerland who did the printing and dealt with all the technicalities, but Nicholson (although he was by then in his seventies) took on a great deal of the work, taking endless proofs, altering them and tinkering about with them over several years.
