About MeThis object was found in a foundation trench for one of the walls of the west range of the Carmelite friary in Aberdeen during the excavations in 1994. It has been made by carving a piece of animal bone and piercing small holes in it.
The object is broken at both ends, but there is evidence of three holes, perhaps for fastening to another object. The lack of green stains around the holes suggests that it was not attached with copper alloy rivets
