About MeJake and Dinos Chapman are brothers who have been collaborating since the early 1990's. They are amongst a group of young British artists (or 'YBAs') working in London, whose reputations have risen rapidly in recent years.

In this, their second major etching suite, they have borrowed the 'cadavre exquis' or 'exqusite corpse' which was a favourite visual or verbal game played by the Surrealists. It is similar to the childrens game of consequences in which the participants complete a sentence or a drawing of a figure without seeing what has been depicted already. The weird anthropomorphic characters produced accord with the contorted and trucated mannequins for which the brothers have become notorious.
