About MeSandy Fraser studied at Gray's School of Art (1958-62) where he subsequently taught. He is best know today for his atmospheric compositions of people, architecture, landscapes, animals and birds - these are often inspired by memories of foreign travel - and for his work as a portraitist.
This study is one of a portfolio of 116 drawings made by the artist whilst on a travelling scholarship to Europe in 1964.
More About Me

A suit of armour is sometimes referred to as 'a living fortress', because of the protection it offered on the battlefield.
