About MeCarte de visite of a man standing inbetween an ornate table and chair with a book in his right hand. He is wearing a pair of glasses and is wearing a long coat with an upturned collar. He has a rounded white collar, a dark waistcoat where a pocketwatch chain can be seen, and matching trousers. He is possibly a cleric? There is also some writing on the photograph in pen, but this can only be seen with a magnifying glass- see just by the table leg and across from his right shin: '188 (or 3) 2 D.' Photographer's full print details can be seen on reverse side. c.1860s
