About MeThe cargo and passenger steamer St Rognvald was built in 1901 for the North of Scotland & Orkney & Shetland Steam Navigation Company. The vessel was the company's second to bear the name. The first St Rognvald, the pioneer of the North Company's Norwegian cruise programme, had been wrecked in fog the previous year, after a career of seventeen years. The second St Rognvald remained with the North Company for fifty years, even surviving two aircraft attacks during World War Two. The vessel was finally broken up in 1951.
