About MeThe drawings illustrate how Bill worked through an idea. The finished dress corresponds directly to the design drawings.

The dress is on the bottom row (second from the right) on the multi-image sketch, along with other designs. It was then worked as a full size drawing with details of how the fabric was to be gathered. The style number 5062 is lower right and a fabric swatch attached. Bill's pattern cutters and seamstresses could work directly from this design and also knew its running order in the collection.

The cornflower and wheat sheaf silk was printed by Janet Taylor.
