About MeOn the 12th March 1976 the Leith registerd trawler Karemma lost engine power during a storm just north of Aberdeen and was driven aground. The five man crew were all rescued by the Aberdeen lifeboat, following which the Second Coxswain of the lifeboat crew was awarded the RNLI's Bronze Medal for gallantry, and another crew member was also recognised for their seamanship, skill and efficiency during the rescue.
