About MeIn 1868-1869 George Washington Wilson worked with astronomer David Gill (later Sir David Gill). He had negatives cut and prepared to fit to Gill's telescope. With the astronomer's knowledge of the movement of the moon and Wilson's knowledge of photography they succeeded in capturing images of the moon which were amongst the first to be taken through a telescope and giving great clarity of detail. The site for this path-breaking enterprise was Gill's observatory on Skene Terrace, Aberdeen.
