About MeAberdeen Maritime Museum has a fine collection of 'Captain's Paintings'. These are portraits of ships commissioned by captains and ship owners of their beloved and expensive investments; their ships.

A great number of these ship portraits came to the museum as part of a bequest from the last of the Duthie family of shipbuilders to remember the Duthie shipyard building these beautiful vessels; the sisters Hilda, Enid and Gladys Duthie.
