About MeThis traditional ladle with oval bowl and 'fiddle-pattern' handle with shell motif was made by William Jamieson of Aberdeen, one of the most prolific goldsmiths of the early 19th century. His name is still recognisable today as one half of the Aberdeen jewellers, Jamieson and Carry, opened by Alexander Forbes in 1733. Jamieson took over the business and subsequently left it to his son George.Alexander Grant
