About MeCircular silver sporting medal with decorative scroll ribbon bar attached at the top, a plain outer edge and beaded border. The medal also features a coat of arms, a thistle wreath and lettering in relief 'Perth Highland Society: 1st Prize for Tossing Caber. 1865' and was awarded to Donald Dinnie.

Dinnie was born in Balnacraig near Aboyne, Aberdeenshire in 1837. He turned professional athlete and toured the world at the age of 30, winning over 11,000 competitions and a total of £28,000 in prize-money. He died in 1916 at the age of 79 in poverty.
