About MeOval, silver plated, brass sporting medal with decorative scroll loop and ring attached at the top. The outer border of the medal features a chased scroll and foliate design. The medal is also engraved with an inscription 'Champion Medal of Scotland for Wrestling: Gained by ... at Dundee 1867' and was awarded to Donald Dinnie.

Dinnie was born in Balnacraig near Aboyne, Aberdeenshire in 1837. He turned professional athlete and toured the world at the age of 30, winning over 11,000 competitions and a total of £28,000 in prize-money. He died in 1916 at the age of 79 in poverty.
