About MeThe clear perspex coil has been twisted to form a bangle. Grooves have been cut along the perspex coil and dyed black to create a segmented optical effect.Modern jewellers often questioned the perception of value when non-precious materials such as plastics, paper and textiles are exploited as an alternative to precious metals.
McKibbin has made earrings using the same materials and form, also in the museum's collection.

Polymethyl methacrylate, trademarked as "Perspex", was discovered in the early 1930s by chemists working at Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI).
