About MeTwo clear perspex coils have been twisted to form earrings. Grooves have been cut along the perspex coils and dyed black to create a segmented optical effect.Modern jewellers often questioned the perception of value when non-precious materials such as plastics, paper and textiles have been exloited as an alternative to precious metals.
McKibbin has made a bangle using the same materials and form, which is also in the museum's collection.
More About Me
McKibbin prefers simple shapes so the tactile quality and weight of the piece is more obvious to the viewer.
