About MeJulian Opie is an established artist with an international reputation. His work is known to a wide audience through his portraits of the rock band Blur. Opie's influences range from billboard signs to cartoons and his schematic figure drawings generally reduce people to types. His new body of work employs a variety of media and technologies. Continuing to explore the figure, he has used computer technology and multiple drawings to create this hypnotic, constantly moving image locked into a plasma screen display. The figure of Sara, a professional model, is simplified to a pictogram and presented as a looped animation which represents her walking, endlessly and forever walking.
