About MeLike the Kuntscher nail the Russell-Taylor Interlocking Femural Nail is driven through the centre of the bone (the medulla) giving support to fracture. It was designed by doctors Tony Russell and Charles Taylor of the Campbell Clinic, Memphis, Tennessee. The nail is said to give improved clinical success over other nailing techniques (fewer complications) and can be used for complex fractures of not only the femur but also the tibia and the humerus. The nail is marketed as as a system with implants (the nails) instruments and tools.
