About MeDating from 1962 St Nicholas House is an example of the ways in which modernist architecture was interpreted by local authority architects. It was thought that the glass, concrete and mosaic outer face was more in keeping with the stone of the city than an alternative suggestion of curtain walling of glass and steel.
