About MeThis stereogram negative of 1859-1860 was one of the early works by G W Wilson which brought him from the market for Scottish images to a larger national and international market. The Great Eastern was one of the marvels of its day and the image captured on a the then very popular stereogram was sure to fire the imagination of his public. On this negative we can see where the photographer marked for the printing and also indicates that in 1867 the negative was revarnished.
