General History:
16/12/1825:
The schooner LIVELY of Aberdeen, Forbes, from Caithness, bound for Belfast, was struck by a heavy sea, 28th ult. (November) which carried away her bulwarks; and on the 30th in working into Kyleakin, (Isle of Skye) she struck upon a rock. A boat, with men from the shore, got the vessel off, but before they could make the harbour, they were obliged to run her ashore on the beach, to prevent her from sinking in deep water, where she lay till 5th inst., when they got her off, and carried her into the harbour in a damaged state.
