James Philip
Born, c. 1869 at Woodside.
Served apprenticeship as a granite cutter with Arthur Taylor in the Jute Street works, with whom he was to have a lifetime association. Although based at Jute Street and famous locally, he was also "loaned out" to do work at yards nationally.
