Ben Nicholson

Ben Nicholson was born into an artistic family - his mother was Mabel Pryde, sister of James Pryde, and his father was William Nicholson, from whom he inherited a preference for still life. Ben Nicholson enjoyed an international reputation and was largely responsible for introducing geometric abstraction in England.
