Pat Semple

Born in Kintyre, Semple went on to study at Edinburgh College of Art. The main source for her work comes from the idea of spirituality and the human need to find meaning. As people search for patterns and symbols in their lives, Semple too is searching through her paintings – attempting to capture in some way her personal and spiritual experiences. Primarily working in the method of painting and drawing, the artist frequently explores the relationship between the figure and the landscape.
