Inverclyde

From Basil Lubbock, 'The Last of the Windjammers': "Inverclyde, which was built by Russell in 1898, was 200 tons larger than the rest of the Milne barques. She is, I believe, still afloat under the Finns, sailing with her masts shortened and an oil engine...She was one of those ships which were continually escaping disaster by a narrow margin..In August 1910 she was nearly destroyed by fire...In the winter of 1915-16 the Inverclyde was badly dismasted off the Cape, arriving at East London with the loss of her mainmast and mizzen topmast. Captain King remained in command of the Inverclyde until 1917, and she was sold to the Finns two years later."
