George Wiseman

During a remarkable period of over half a century, George Wiseman documented Aberdeen's changing harbour scene through the medium of brush, paint and paper. His career spanned the great transition from steel steam drifter through to the stern trawler fleet, which shares the North Sea with the rig support vessels of modern era.

Ran the Harbour Cafe with his wife Nelly in the 1930s. A self-taught artist, he died in Bradford, 1995
