Ossip Zadkine

Ossip Zadkine spent the early years of his life in Russia. His artwork, however, was to mature and flourish in the stimulating atmosphere of Paris at the beginning of this century. There Zadkine met the followers of the Cubist aesthetic and although he never joined the movement he did adopt their stylistic vocabulary.
