Consolidated Pneumatic Tool Co. Ltd

The factory at Fraserburgh opened in 1904, employing around 160 people by 1907. At their peak, the firm employed more than 1000 people in Fraserburgh and a further 750 in Aberdeen. Operations in Aberdeen included a factory in Tullos, which closed in 1982 with the loss of 250 jobs and in 1983, the Aberdeen office was also closed as the American-owned firm consolidating operations in London and Sheffield, although production continued at the Fraserburgh factory.
