13/11/1952:
"Our History" - after a voyage of 88 days from London, 613-ton Barque HERRADURA arrived in Keppel Bay, in Rockhampton, Queensland, on 30 August 1884.

15/09/1896: Sailed from Newport for Buenos Ayres with coal.
21/09/1896: Towed out of Penarth Roads by tug.
22/09/1896: Dragged both anchors and went ashore at Sully Island, east of Barry. Crew saved.
08/10/1896: Refloated and under tow for Penarth. Was put ashore twice due to being in a sinking condition. Condemned.
10/10/1896: Docked at Penarth.
04/12/1896: For sale “as is” at Cardiff.

Notes: HERRADURA is a town in Granada, Spain.
By 1886 rigged as a barque.
Contract cost £12,092 (Builder's List in the Aberdeen Maritime Museum)
