Owners:
24/12/1918: Built for the Admiralty as a standard drifter (Pennant Number 4119) and retained on Royal Navy Service until 1946.
1946: Sold to W. Innes, Portknockie, Banffshire and others and registered in Banff BF117.

Notes: The SAPPHIRE STONE was the last Portknockie and Moray Firth steam drifter.
Triple expansion engines with 9½", 15" and 26" cylinders, 18" stroke. Boiler 10'0" diameter, 9'6" length, 180 lb. pressure (Builder's List in the Lloyd's Library of the Aberdeen Maritime Museum)
