General History:
Laid down 27 June 1940, launched 5 February 1941, commissioned 16 July 1941.
Lent to Free French and served as the French corvette LOBELIA (name not changed from 1941).
Sold to Norway May 1947 for conversion to whaler/trader, but sold on to Bryde & Dahl in July 1948. Refitted as bouy-boat, renamed THORGEIR and owned by A/S Thor Dahl, Sandefjord. Last season as whaler 1966/67. Laid up in Sandefjord from May 1967 to when June 1969, before scrapping.
Notes: Triple expansion engines with 4 cylinders of 18", 31", 38½" and 38½" diameters, 30" stroke. 2 Boilers 16'6" diameter, 12'6" length, 225 lb. pressure (Builder's List in the Lloyd's Library of the Aberdeen Maritime Museum)
