Launch —On Thursday afternoon from the building yard of John Smith, Esq., a splendid clipper ship, which has been built for a London company. She took the water in a beautiful style, christened the "PEKINA," by Mrs Malcolm. the Captain's lady. The "PEKINA" is 493 tons B.M., and about 700 tons N.N.M. She is destined for the Adelaide trade, and is property of Messrs Deyill and Moore, London. The launch was witnessed by a large concourse of spectators, who cheered lustily as the beautiful vessel glided smoothly into the water.

This beautiful ship, fitted expressly for the Adelaide trade, has a full poop, with bathroom and every other comfort for accommodation of cabin passengers.
