About MeHalf leather bound minute book with type written sheets and occasional handwritten annotations and signatures. The text is cross referenced with an index book.

Most meetings include references to new and lapsing members, amendments to the Rules and allegations of infringements of the rules of the Association by members. Members also regularly apply to the Committee to add individuals and companies to the "Black List".

The Association also corresponds with and meets regularly (via various Sub-Committees) with other associations including the Aberdeen Master Masons' Association, Aberdeen Operative Masons and Stonecutters Society, Aberdeen and District Toolsmiths Union and Aberdeen and District Granite Polishers Protective Union. Subjects of discussion include wages, hours and apprentices.

Discussions are ongoing with the Boston Association regarding infringements to their mutual agreement by members of both parties. During this volume the United States of America tarriff on granite increases from 30% to 50%.

Relations with the various other unions are occasionally poor and in September 1898 a Special Meeting of the Drectors is called due to a strike at Dancing Cairns Quarry which spreads to other local quarries (including Kemnay) and threatens the supply of stone. The Association advises its members to refrain from interfering in the dispute.

Various Parliamentary Bills are discussed including Employers' Liability, rating of Machinery, registration of Firms, Steam Engines and Boilers (persons in charge), Truck Acts Amendment and Boiler inspection and Registration Bill.

In 1897, the Association is approached by the Aberdeen Art Gallery & Industrial Museum for a case of samples. A Sub-Committee is made up to select and provide the samples.
