About MeOrnate rectangular cast iron coal burning stove, with decoration on all sides and removable pagoda style lid. The fire has two hinged doors above the grate. There is no apparent chimney or flue. It was used in A & J Msith jewellers on Union Street, where it was apparently extremely efficient at heating the shop, and was a splendid spot to sit or stand near to on a cold winter’s day. Emissions were somehow drawn downwards through some sort of internal flue, through the basement workshop and vented into the street at the rear of the building.
