About MeA good example of the lustreware produced at numerous potteries in the Sunderland area. The colour of the lustre depends on which metal oxides are used. The pink lustre was created using a mixture of gold and copper oxides on a white body. Plaques with transfer-printed religious verses and mottoes were known in the trade as 'scripture titles'.Qing Dynasty, possibly 19th century
