About MeThis evening dress of marocain, a ribbed crepe fabric used in women's clothing, features the typical v-neckline and padded shoulders that were fashionable at the time. The dressmaker has cleverly made use of the reverse satin side of the fabric to create contrasting sleeves. The dress is an example of post war utility wear and is therefore more extravagantly detailed than utility clothing made during the war years.
