The camera features are all placed on the front and upper surfaces, as the camera fits within the custom made case and is secured there with a screw fitting in the base. The face of the camera has two large circles or dials on either side and two smaller ones above one another in the centre. The (facing) left dial is the winding key for the clockwork motor and on the right is the diaphragm scale and setting wheel for the exposure meter. In the centre is the distance scale. On the upper surface are the pointer for the exposure meter, the film speed setting for the exposure meter, the camera speed setting and filter corrector for the exposure meter, control knob for running speeds and the footage counter.
The base of the camera is inscribed "Zeiss Ikon AG. / S27992 Germany / S27992".
The case is brown with a cream detail on the lid and a red lining. It is inscribed on the back "Zeiss Ikon AG. / Made in Germany / 35.7501".
The instructions are contained within a small green booklet with stapled spine and 16 pages containing numerous photographic illustrations and diagrams. The front and back covers have fold out inserts.
