The exhibition ran from 31 July and 14 August 1989 as part of the Pittenweem Arts Festival. Laing was one of the founders of the festival. The two works described are "The Patriot's Room" by Finlay with Keith Brookwell, Pamela Campion, David Ballantyne and Ron Costley and "Thermidor" with Laurie Clark and John Nash.This object is part of an archive that belonged to Joyce Laing, OBE. The artist, Ian Hamilton Finlay, was a personal friend.
